The ECCV community is strongly committed to addressing issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at our conference. Diversity has many dimensions, including but not limiting to gender, race, ethnicity, age, disabilities, religious belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and cultural background. There is no place for hatred and discrimination in the ECCV community or elsewhere.
For ECCV 2022, the DEI Chairs are working with other members of the organizing committee to help foster a more inclusive, diverse and equitable conference. Specifically, we encourage the following:
– improve diversity and inclusion in program organizers and invited speakers by including diversity, equity, and inclusivity as part of the evaluation criteria;
– support affinity groups that are specifically aimed at building and nurturing networks to support communities that are currently not well represented at ECCV;
– support for students to attend ECCV from communities that do not traditionally attend through travel grants and waived registration fees.
ECCV 2022 is now accepting applications from people who have not attended ECCV before. We have two programs: 1) online complimentary registration; 2) travel grants with in-person complimentary registration. Travel grants are allocated based on a combination of need, contribution to the meeting, where you are traveling from, advisor support, and supporting communities that are underrepresented at ECCV.
All decisions are made on a rolling basis, so please apply soon and no later than Aug 7th 11:59 PM PST.
To apply for online complimentary registration, please use this form.
To apply for travel grants (with complimentary in-person registration), please use this form.
If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback related to DEI efforts at ECCV 2022, or would like to get involved, please contact the DEI co-chairs (Bryan Russell and Xi Yin) by email at deichairs@ecva.net.
